True points. I Guess I look at it this way. First timers to this site are similar to first timers at a show. My first few times I had to ask heads the names of the songs as they played them. They were kind enough to enlighten me even though it probably got annoying and I was considered a "newbie". I'm sure I could have gotten a Dupree's diamond news and got that information but the interaction between the people was just as important as the info. Also, if this is a "college" maybe the repetitive questions from freshman can be chalked up to the "orientation" period?

There you go; I have taken the course on "searching the forum" so many times the professors roll their eyes when they see me walk in the lecture hall.

"EXCELLENT!" (pic of wringing hands would do nicely here...).

The day I get Rob to post a smiley face emo, is the day I have conquered.

For now, I say, "emoticon this":

I remember at the last Dead show I ever went to (Wembley Stadium 31 October 1990) I was a bit out of touch with what was happening with the band (hadn't seen them since 81) and had to ask someone who that was on keys besides Hornsby. 'Vince Welnick,' said the guy. 'What?' I said. 'From the Tubes?' 'Yup.'

I really thought he was putting me on.
